Nauvoo Exodus Re-enactment

We will be participating in the re-enactment of the Nauvoo exodus. I will be representing GG Kimball, Vilate and GG Pratt. It only seems appropriate since Heber C Kimball gave Parley's wife a blessing that she would have a child and that child is my G grandfather on Dad's side. When Dad and Mom got married it brought the two families together.

All my siblings are very proud of our heritage and I am especially proud to honor them by walking down the Trail of Hope. I call it the Trail of Faith, because they had a lot of faith to leave especially when it was so cold. And it is very cold. Check out this article. I will post pictures after.

Peterson family

New PJ for Elder Peterson to study in.

Any morning you can find Elder Peterson studying. At the moment he is reading "Out of Capativity", by Charles Allyn. He then shares what he learns with me. The book is very good and he is learning about the Restoration of the Gospel starting around 500 AD. A lot of world history. Very interesting.

More Dinner Guest - Killians and Barlows

Traditional Danish dinner again with the Barlows from Arizona (site missionaries who took care of my plants while we went to Utah) and the Killian, our shopping and eating friends.

Dad is in the kitchen putting the spices in the gravey. He like to help alot.

We went over to Keokuk to the Eagle celebration and this is what we did. It was held in a local mall with a few stores and they set up booths. In the threater they had 4 live birds; two eagles, falcon and a vultur. The falcon flew over our head in the room. Outside the show, as you can see, they had a bird who took your donation and put it in a box.

We also saw the indians from the area dance. Here is a Cheokee Indian. They wear turbins instead of feathers.

We also went to the riverside and looked through the spotter telescope to see ealges. We saw some flying over the bridge but the one through the spotter was just sitting on a branch across the river. We have eagles in Nauvoo and they sit on the ice and wait for a fish to appear. We don't have a lot of time to go looking at them, but one of these mornings we are going to the river to see them fish.

We went with the Gammons and the Ords. We went out to a mexican resturant on the way home in Hamilton. It was a fun day.

The tooth fairy didn't come. Just lost $2,000.00

Just like teeth, my 2nd implant came out today. So sad.

We are inviting couples over to our traditional Danish dinners with pork, potatoes, red cabbage, rice pudding with almond in it for a prize. They have been very successful. We forget to take pictures to tell the story. Looking for a new camera so then I might remember to take them.

We are enjoying getting to know people better. Each one is so special and have a great story to tell. I will post more later. Going to bed.
